No.

Even though we complain about it (which is fair, it can and should be improved), Canadians overwhelmingly prefer our health care system.

Even though we complain about it (which is fair, it can and should be improved), Canadians overwhelmingly prefer our political system. American politics is just...scary. What with invading the wrong countries by mistake and all.

Canadians overwhelmingly prefer our lower crime rates, and more stringent gun control.

Most Canadians (note I've dropped the "overwhelmingly" here) prefer our abortion laws. (There are no abortion laws --there are regulations governing doctors just as would be for other medical procedures, but no laws beyond that).

Canadians prefer our women's rights stance (equality constitutionally guaranteed, a Supreme Court chock full of women, etc)

Canadians tend to take some pride in not being Americans … or, at least, not governed like Americans. We tend to think US politics are crazy. Canadians would never go for that.

Now, on the other hand, if some states wanted to separate from the US and become part of Canada, that might be different. Many responses, by Canadians, to articles about the third of Californians supporting seceding, indicated there’d be some support from Canadians if that kind of scenario happened.

No, they wouldn’t. And they shouldn’t, either.

One of the major reasons why Canada exists is because Canadian troops played a huge role in the defense of their own land when U.S. forces invaded Canada several times during the War of 1812 (after first trying it in 1775, at the very beginning of the Revolutionary War!). In fact, a lot of Americans don’t know that when the British attacked Washington, D.C. in 1814 and burned part of the city, it was in retribution for U.S. forces doing the same thing to York (modern Toronto), the then-capital of the Province of Upper Canada, the year before.

To this day, the fact that Canadian soldiers played a major role in the defense of their land is a source of national pride for that country. It was a unifying factor in the transformation of British North America into the Dominion of Canada in 1867. Modern Canada is a strong, united nation (even the Quebec separatists have largely been muted), with its own laws and system of government, which they believe to be superior to ours, and which in some ways, they are probably correct. The United States and Canada are friends, allies, and each other’s top trading partner. The status quo works very well for both nations, and should be maintained.
